AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR CELLULITE REDUCTION

WHAT IS CELLULITE?

Cellulite is a term used to describe a dimpled, lumpy appearance of the skin. Usually found on the thighs, buttocks and upper arms it affects 85-95% of women of all ages.

The layer of fat just under the skin – known as the subcutaneous fat layer – is organised into chambers and held in place by a network of connective tissue known as ‘septae’. As we gain weight or suffer a build-up of toxins, the tissue contained in these chambers increases in volume. However, the septae does not flex to accommodate this volume increase and instead the swollen fat cells protrude upwards through the skin layer, producing the ‘orange peel’ or ‘cottage cheese’ like appearance of cellulite that we know so well!

If the blood supply to the area and/or the lymphatic system is compromised, the build up of fat and toxins will continue to increase.

Effective treatments for cellulite reduction have been few and far between. Finally, there’s a cellulite treatment that actually works to improve the appearance of unsightly and embarrassing cellulite*.

Our current lifestyle can have a damaging effect on our health – drinking, smoking, contraceptive pill, unhealthy diet, sedentary occupation, lack of vigorous exercise – the list goes on… As a result, the toxic build-up in the fatty tissues in the thighs, buttocks, stomach and upper arms means that many women today suffer from loss of skin tone and cellulite in these areas. A change in lifestyle can marginally improve the appearance, but an improved blood and oxygen flow will take this improvement to another level.

*Results may differ from individual to individual and will vary depending on age, lifestyle and response to the treatment. Also bear in mind that as cellulite does not appear overnight, it will not reduce overnight either and a course of treatments will be required before an appreciable difference is seen.
